and what is it you think you will remember?

I can promise you it won’t be the easy times…
what you will remember are the times you are most proud of –

the times when you made a decision, followed through on it and achieved your goals.

You will look back and be proud of the personal sacrifices you made and the effort you gave
to make your dreams come true.

What Do You Want that’s Worth Fighting for?

As one of my mentors, the late Jim Rohn, said
“Whatever good things we build end up building us.”

Those are the times we cherish the most.
That’s what we’ll look back and remember the most.

So if that’s true – why do we always search for the easy way?
Of course we want the easy way – yet you and I both know the truth…
if your goal doesn’t require you pushing yourself and struggling a little bit – it’s probably not a lofty enough goal.

Here’s what I believe:
I believe everything in life worth having is worth fighting for..

And that’s what keeps me going.

Jim Rohn also said “We must all suffer one of two things:
the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.”

So have YOU found what you want in life that’s worth having?
Have you found what’s worth fighting for?
Have you found what you are willing to struggle to achieve?

If you have – GREAT – now let’s have a serious talk about how to get it.
And if you haven’t (which means you’ve tried and failed) let’s find out what that is
and build a plan to get you there.

Listen to this audio for some incredible strategies on how YOU
can figure out exactly what you want
and how to go get it!

What’s Worth the Struggle?

What Are Your Mornings Like? http://profoundsuccess.com/what-are-your-mornings-like/ http://profoundsuccess.com/what-are-your-mornings-like/#comments Fri, 21 Mar 2014 16:19:14 +0000 http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/?p=82 I woke up yesterday morning and the house was quieter than usual. My first thought was “where is everybody?” and then when I didn’t hear all the activity that goes with getting the kids out of the house on time for school, it hit me…it’s summer!

And then it really hit me…it’s June already! WOW. How about you…did you wake up anytime over the past week or two and realize 1/2 the year is gone already???

I remember watching the fireworks on New Years Eve and then Boom!…now I’m sitting in my office looking at the calendar in amazement. So you know what I’m doing today?
I’m walking through a process I do every summer. Here’s how it goes:

Stop!
Look at my plan for the year
See what’s working
Revise the plan
Course correct based on the new plan
Go forward

This has worked for me and every year I’ve been doing this my business has grown and my health and relationships have improved. Every single year.

Because you know what I used to do before I knew better? I would make the plan, and then I would go all year working on it…except then all of a sudden it’d be November and there was no way I could make it all happen. Then I’d say “well that didn’t work” and put it on the next year’s list.

You see most people will plug away and plug away and not realize that there’s a better way. Or you don’t realize that a small shift or tweak will get you closer to your goal…faster.

For today, think about it – are you really on track? Can you achieve all your goals for the year based on what you are doing now and the results you’ve been getting? Think about that – it’ll really assist you in getting a good grip on where you are and if a “course correction” is needed!

Courage Is Not The Absence of Fear http://profoundsuccess.com/courage-is-not-the-absence-of-fear/ http://profoundsuccess.com/courage-is-not-the-absence-of-fear/#comments Thu, 28 Mar 2013 14:18:41 +0000 http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/?p=106 http://profoundsuccess.com/courage-is-not-the-absence-of-fear/feed/ 0 How To Stop Making Life Difficult http://profoundsuccess.com/how-to-stop-making-life-difficult/ http://profoundsuccess.com/how-to-stop-making-life-difficult/#comments Sat, 23 Mar 2013 17:20:09 +0000 http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/?p=110 While i’m definitely not one to focus on the negative, you just can’t get around the fact that the way to improve your life is to ask the tough questions so you know where to focus your efforts.Because I believe life change starts with asking the right questions.

Sometimes we have to look at what isn’t working to get it to work.

Now if this doesn’t apply to you – then I am pretty sure there are people around you that it does apply to and the key to you helping them is to understand them.

Below are five (not all, just 5) of the ways we tend to make life difficult.

Let’s do a little evaluation.

Do you do any of these things?

YOU PRETEND YOU DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER.
You just can’t figure out a) how to make time to exercise b) how to ask for the sale c) how to keep on track with the food you eat d) how to make your relationship work. When in reality you already know the answers. Pretending you don’t know them gets you off the hook of having to do the things you don’t really like to do!

Pretending you don’t know the answer keeps you stuck.

YOU’RE MORE FOCUSED ON PROVING YOURSELF RIGHT THAN DOING WHAT WORKS.

“I just don’t understand it, I’ve done everything I was supposed to do and a) I can’t close a sale b) I still didn’t lose any weight c) we’re still not getting along.” Sound familiar?

If you are walking around listing off all the things you did right you’re just looking for justification. Justification does not get results.

Changing what isn’t working will get you results.

YOU SETTLE WHEN IT COMES TO THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.

Ouch. This is a tough one. Ineffective people, negative people, the guilters, the blamers and the nay-sayers are all around us. And sometimes we fall into that trap of “something is better than nothing” and so we live in misery because of the people we allow in our lives. Want to slow down your productivity? Spend time cleaning up after someone else’s poor work and then take another hour complaining about it. How is it we’d rather have scraps than a gourmet meal? I don’t know but everyone I’ve ever met has fallen into this trap at one point or another.

Avoiding confrontation? Feel bad for people? Don’t want to hurt people?

Consider yourself in this – so you’d rather suffer than have someone else held responsible? Hmmmm….how’s that working out for you?

YOU THINK YOUR MISTAKES MATTER.

Very few mistakes take down people permanently. Trust me it’s not the end of the world when you make a mistake. Yet you get immobilized with the fear of it. Nobody wants to be wrong, nobody wants to look like a failure. I get it. Yet, here’s the deal. Your mistakes are there to teaching you! You learn, you adjust and you move on. If you have fear of a) looking silly or b) losing money then you will a) still look silly for not doing anything and b) still lose money because you aren’t making more anyway!

YOU DON’T TRUST YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT.

Another Ouch. Building up a big case against yourself is a pretty easy thing to do. And you know what this is? An excuse. Not trusting yourself is a cover up phrase for “lack of confidence.” You don’t trust yourself to not eat the cake? Bologna! You don’t have the confidence to walk away from it is the truth. If there’s one thing you want to eliminate from your vocabulary is “I don’t trust myself.” If you walked around saying “I don’t have the confidence yet.” then you can bet your bottom dollar that you’ll spring into action just by making that statement.

Life change starts with asking the right questions.

And knowing if any of these things applies to you is a great place to start.

Want to know how to get past these limitations?

Do You Whistle While You Work? http://profoundsuccess.com/do-you-whistle-while-you-work/ http://profoundsuccess.com/do-you-whistle-while-you-work/#comments Thu, 21 Mar 2013 17:45:17 +0000 http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/?p=124 If your Answer is YES… then you are doing something that excites you. Here we are on the day the US celebrates Labor Day.Labor Day is a tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.*

Back in 1882 when Labor Day began it was in the hearts and minds of the leaders of the time to honor the hard work and accomplishments so many have made – to create the success in America we all enjoy. And here we are in 2013 and you, by answering YES, are following in those footsteps to enjoy and take pride in your work and when you do that…you are far more likely to get results.

And if you answered NO…
well then you are truly LABORING and that…especially after a while…can stink. And if you answered no you’re probably looking for a better way. Well there is no better way…there’s what works. Whether you are taking out the trash or are running a company…there’s always a way to find happiness in what you are doing. And how to do that is to FIND what works. And when you do that you will uncover a level of enthusiasm for all aspects of your life which will create momentum and will get you where you want to go quickly.

So whether or not you are whistling…
Naturally you’d like to learn what will work for youso that you can be more effective and get results rapidly.
